Updated instructions for local builds or setting up your own appropriate runners will be provided again in the future. Although LibreWolf is a fork of Firefox, it is an independent web browser with its own installation path, privacy and security settings, and profile folder thus you don’t really need to install Firefox to run LibreWolf. The build scripts are currently meant to be run in a CI environment with Docker containers and gitlab-runners. Do we need to download and install Firefox to use LibreWolf? So, basically, LibreWolf gets updated regularly. Normally it comes within three days from Firefox’s stable release. LibreWolf gets the updates based on the latest version of Firefox. It is a safe browser and completely prevents any kind of tracking or data collection. If you are looking for a privacy-focused browser, you might want to use LibreWolf and see if it suits you. Click on the hamburger icon on the top right corner of your screen and go to Add-ons and themes, you can also use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+A. But it also offers a few additional themes if you want to change the look. The main overview of the browser is pretty simple and basic, perfect for users who don’t want any kind of distractions. Although it is accepted as a legitimate way to improve your user experience, some users still want to disable it. Telemetry is a service that collects your data and sends it to the developed periodically.
